Blasts In Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Sirens In Tel Aviv As Iran Strikes Continue

Air raid sirens blared across Tel Aviv on Monday as Iran launched another wave of missile attacks targeting Israel and US-linked assets across the Gulf region. At the same time, explosions were reported in several major cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Manama, intensifying fears of a wider regional conflict.
The fresh strikes came shortly after the Israel Defense Forces reported detecting new missiles fired from Iran, marking the third consecutive day of attacks since the United States and Israel launched a major campaign against Tehran.
Missiles Intercepted Over Israeli Cities
Iran’s missile barrage triggered air defence systems across Israel. Several missiles were intercepted above Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as emergency sirens warned residents to seek shelter.
Explosions were heard across multiple locations, as the conflict between Israel and Iran continued to escalate rapidly.
Drones Intercepted In Iraq
In Iraq, air defence systems reportedly intercepted drones near Erbil airport. The area hosts a large US-led coalition base and a major American consulate complex.
Drones have repeatedly targeted the region in recent days, raising security concerns around key military installations.
Gulf Cities Face Widespread Impact
The conflict has increasingly spilled over into Gulf countries hosting US military bases.
Cities across the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait have reported explosions or air defence activity.
In Bahrain, drones struck the airport in Manama, causing minor damage. Meanwhile, debris from intercepted drones injured residents in parts of Dubai.
Iranian attacks also reportedly sparked fires near major landmarks such as the Burj Al Arab and the Palm seafront development.
At Abu Dhabi’s international airport, at least one person was killed and several others were injured during an incident linked to falling debris from intercepted drones.
Major Airport Disruptions
Airports across the region have faced severe disruption. Dubai International Airport, one of the world’s busiest hubs for international travel, temporarily halted operations along with Kuwait International Airport, triggering global flight delays.
Attacks Across The Gulf
Iran also targeted strategic locations across the Gulf. Missiles aimed at Riyadh were intercepted near the city’s international airport and the Prince Sultan Air Base, which hosts US military personnel.
In Qatar, authorities said Iran launched dozens of missiles and drones, most of which were intercepted, though several people were injured.
In Oman, drones targeted the port of Duqm Port, a key maritime hub in the region.
Diplomatic Tensions Rise
The United States Department of State issued a joint statement with several Gulf nations condemning Iran’s attacks, calling them reckless and destabilising.
Meanwhile, the Gulf Cooperation Council convened an emergency meeting and called for the immediate cessation of hostilities, warning that instability in the Gulf threatens global economic stability.
In one of the strongest diplomatic responses so far, the United Arab Emirates closed its embassy in Tehran and recalled its ambassador.
Political Uncertainty In Iran
The crisis follows the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei during US-Israel missile strikes targeting leadership compounds in Tehran.
Iran has since vowed retaliation, launching missiles and drones against Israeli cities and US military facilities across the region.
Former US President Donald Trump signalled openness to dialogue with Iran’s new leadership, even as the conflict continued to escalate.
Analysts warn that while Khamenei’s death is a major blow to Iran’s leadership, the country’s political structure — heavily influenced by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps — remains firmly entrenched.
With attacks continuing across multiple countries, the conflict now threatens to evolve into one of the largest regional crises in recent years, raising global concerns over security, energy supply, and international stability.
