Arvind Kejriwal’s Car Allegedly Attacked During Campaign; BJP and AAP Trade Blame

New Delhi: Tensions flared during Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s campaign in the New Delhi Assembly constituency as stones were hurled at his vehicle. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused supporters of BJP MP Parvesh Verma of orchestrating the attack, escalating the ongoing political battle between the two parties.

AAP shared footage on their official ‘X’ account showing a black SUV, surrounded by security, moving through a crowd of protesters. In the video, a large stone strikes the vehicle’s roof as Kejriwal sits inside. AAP claimed, “BJP candidate Parvesh Verma’s goons attacked Arvind Kejriwal with stones to intimidate him, but Kejriwal ji will not back down. The people of Delhi will respond strongly to this cowardly act.”

BJP Responds with Counter-Accusations

BJP candidate Parvesh Verma denied AAP’s allegations, accusing Kejriwal’s convoy of injuring a BJP worker. Verma stated, “Arvind Kejriwal’s car ran over a BJP worker, breaking his leg. I am visiting the Lady Hardinge Medical College to check on him. This is highly disgraceful.”

Tensions Escalate During Campaign

According to AAP sources, Kejriwal was engaging with voters when clashes broke out between local residents and BJP supporters. Amid the commotion, stones were reportedly thrown at the convoy, further fueling the political blame game.

The incident has deepened the divide between the two parties, with both sides calling for accountability as investigations into the matter continue.
