Andhra Woman Stabbed and Attacked with Acid After Rejecting Valentine’s Proposal

A young woman in Andhra Pradesh was brutally attacked on Valentine’s Day after rejecting a man’s proposal. The man, unable to handle the rejection, first stabbed the victim and then threw acid on her.

The victim, an undergraduate student from Annamayya district’s Perampally region in Gurramkonda mandal, was rushed to Madanapalle Government Hospital for treatment. The assailant was identified as a fellow student from her college.

In response to the horrific attack, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu condemned the violence and assured that strict action would be taken against the accused. He also assured the victim’s family that the government would provide the best medical care.

He promised full support for her recovery, adding, “We will ensure the best treatment for my sister’s recovery. I stand by her as my own sister. This acid attack incident has deeply disturbed me. The attacker will face severe punishment.”

Lokesh also coordinated with Minister Mandupalli Ramprasad, who was at the hospital to oversee the victim’s treatment, ensuring all necessary steps were taken. He urged law enforcement to take strict measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
