Actor Sharad Kapoor Accused of Molestation; Police Register FIR
Mumbai police have filed an FIR against actor Sharad Kapoor following allegations of molestation made by a 32-year-old woman. The woman claims Kapoor made unwanted advances and sent her inappropriate messages under the pretext of a professional meeting.
According to the complaint, the incident took place on November 26, 2024. The woman alleged that Kapoor invited her to his office, claiming it was to discuss work on video reels. However, upon her arrival, she said Kapoor was inappropriately dressed and attempted to assault her. She further stated that after the incident, she received lewd messages and a distressing voice note from Kapoor.
The Khar Police have registered a case against Kapoor under sections 74, 75, and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and summoned him for questioning. The victim has called for legal action, emphasizing the importance of accountability within the entertainment industry.
