PM Narendra Modi Tops Global Popularity Rankings Again with Strong Approval Rating

India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has once again emerged as the world’s most popular democratic leader, according to the latest survey by Morning Consult.
The survey shows that 68% of respondents approve of Modi’s leadership, while 26% expressed disapproval and 6% remained undecided. These figures are based on a rolling seven-day average of public opinion collected from adults across multiple countries.
Despite a slight dip from last year’s 75% approval rating, Modi continues to lead global rankings by a clear margin. Switzerland’s Guy Parmelin follows with 62%, while South Korea’s Lee Jae-myung ranks among the top leaders with similar approval levels.
Further down the list, Canada’s Mark Carney holds the seventh position with 55% approval. On the other end of the spectrum, France’s Emmanuel Macron records the lowest approval rating at just 17%, along with high disapproval levels.
Beyond surveys, Modi’s global influence is also reflected in his digital presence. Earlier this year, he became the first world leader to cross 100 million followers on Instagram, highlighting his strong connect with people worldwide.
The latest rankings reinforce Modi’s continued popularity both at home and internationally, even as global political landscapes remain dynamic and competitive.
