US Fueling Wars To Block India, China’s Rise, Claims Khamenei’s Envoy In New Delhi

Amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran, a senior Iranian representative has alleged that the United States is deliberately fuelling global conflicts to maintain its dominance and prevent emerging powers such as India and China from gaining equal footing on the world stage.

Abdul Majeed Hakeem Ilahi, Special Representative of the Office of Iran’s Supreme Leader to India, made the remarks in an interview with ANI. He argued that the current confrontation involving Iran is part of a broader geopolitical strategy aimed at halting the transition toward a multipolar global order.

‘America Does Not Want Powerful Peers’

Ilahi said that in the coming decades, countries such as India, China, Russia and the United States are likely to be among the most powerful nations globally. However, he claimed Washington does not want to see India or China emerge as equal partners.

“America does not want any partners; it does not want to see India or China emerge as powerful peers,” he said, adding that conflicts are being instigated to prevent that shift and preserve US global dominance.

‘US Started This War’

The envoy maintained that Iran did not initiate the current conflict, asserting that the United States and Israel were responsible for starting hostilities. His comments echo statements by senior Iranian political figure Ali Larijani, who has similarly accused Washington and Tel Aviv of aggression.

“They are the ones attacking us and bombing our civilians; we are simply defending ourselves,” Ilahi said. He added that Tehran would halt its military response if the United States stopped its operations.

‘Narrative War’ Beyond Military Conflict

Beyond the battlefield, Ilahi described what he called a parallel “narrative war.” According to him, information campaigns and alleged misinformation are being used to shape global opinion about Iran.

“In narrative war, they fabricate a lot of fake news,” he said, dismissing claims that the Iranian public is demanding regime change.

His remarks come as tensions between the United States and Iran continue to intensify, with both sides trading accusations over responsibility for the conflict and its wider geopolitical consequences.

The comments also add a new dimension to the debate, linking the Iran confrontation to broader global power dynamics involving India and China two nations increasingly seen as central players in shaping the future world order.
