Bride Dies By Suicide on Wedding Night in Andhra Pradesh; Police Investigating
Tragedy struck in the Satya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh after a 22-year-old bride allegedly died by suicide on the night of her wedding. The incident took place in Somendepalli mandal of Penukonda on Monday, shortly after what had been a grand wedding celebration.
The bride, Harishitha, a resident of Somendepalli, had married Nagendra from Dibburipalli in Karnataka earlier that morning. After the ceremony, the couple stayed at the bride’s home, where arrangements were underway for their wedding night.
According to reports, Nagendra had stepped out briefly to buy sweets. When he returned, he found the room locked. After his repeated calls went unanswered, concerned family members broke open the door and discovered Harishitha unresponsive.
She was immediately taken to Penukonda Government Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The sudden loss has left both families devastated. Photos from the wedding showed Harishitha smiling, with no visible signs of distress. The reason for her death remains unclear.
