Man’s Body Dropped From Moving Ambulance, Family Attempts Highway Blockade In Uttar Pradesh

Gonda, Uttar Pradesh – In a shocking incident, the family of a deceased man allegedly dropped his body from a moving ambulance and attempted to block a national highway in protest. The event took place in Gonda district, following the death of Hriday Lal, who had recently been involved in a violent dispute.
The conflict, reportedly over a liquor-related matter, turned violent on Friday when Hriday Lal was brutally assaulted and his toes crushed. He was rushed to Lucknow for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries. His death, which occurred just two months after his marriage, triggered widespread outrage among his relatives.
On Monday, while his body was being transported for a post-mortem, a dramatic scene unfolded. A video circulating on social media shows the ambulance dragging the body briefly before it was dropped on the road. Immediately afterward, several family members rushed to the spot and sat in the middle of the highway where the body had fallen, attempting to block traffic in protest.
Police officials quickly intervened, removing the body and engaging with the aggrieved family to calm tensions. The last rites were later conducted under police supervision.
Gonda Circle Officer Anand Kumar Rai confirmed that four individuals have been arrested in connection with Hriday Lal’s death and legal proceedings are underway.
