Iran Reopens Airspace Following Ceasefire With Israel

Tehran:
Iran has officially reopened its airspace, including over the capital Tehran, after a temporary closure due to the recent conflict with Israel, state media reported on Thursday.

According to the official IRNA news agency, Tehran’s Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini international airports, along with airports in the northern, eastern, western, and southern regions of the country, are now fully operational and ready to handle flights.

Authorities stated that domestic and international flights from all airports—except those located in Isfahan and Tabriz—will operate daily between 5:00 am and 6:00 pm. Services in Isfahan and Tabriz will resume once the necessary infrastructure is restored.

Iran had closed its airspace entirely on June 13 following a barrage of Israeli airstrikes, which led to retaliatory missile attacks from Tehran.

A ceasefire between Iran and Israel came into effect on June 24, easing regional tensions. Since then, Iran had already reopened its eastern airspace and permitted limited international overflights. The latest move marks a broader reopening of Iranian skies.
