Woman Allegedly Molested at Delhi Hospital, Dies During Treatment
New Delhi:
A woman who was allegedly molested at a Delhi hospital has died while undergoing treatment at another medical facility, the police said on Thursday. A case has been registered, and authorities stated that further legal action will be determined after the autopsy report is received.
The woman had been admitted to GTB Hospital on June 21 for treatment of a medical condition. According to police, on June 23, she left the ward and was reportedly molested within the hospital premises. Following the incident, the New Usmanpur police initiated prompt action.
She was later referred to Jag Pravesh Chandra (JPC) Hospital for specialised care. Medical staff at JPC noted there were no visible external injuries upon examination. However, during her treatment at the second hospital, the woman passed away.
Police confirmed they received information about her death on Thursday and are awaiting the postmortem findings to proceed with the investigation.
