Iran Reopens Eastern Airspace Following Ceasefire With Israel

Tehran:
Iran has partially reopened its airspace, specifically over the eastern region of the country, following a ceasefire agreement with Israel that brought an end to 12 days of intense conflict.
The Iranian airspace had been closed since June 13, after Israel launched a major aerial offensive, prompting retaliatory missile strikes from Tehran.
State media reported on Wednesday that the eastern half of Iran’s airspace has now been reopened for international overflights as well as domestic and international flights connected to airports in the region.
Transport Ministry spokesperson Majid Akhavan stated that the Mashhad airport, previously claimed by Israel to have been targeted, has resumed operations. Other airports in Chabahar, Zahedan, and Jask have also reopened.
However, flights to and from other parts of Iran, including Tehran, will remain suspended until further notice, Akhavan added.
