Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar Part Ways Over Rift Involving Brother Anmol

New Delhi:
Infamous gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar—once close allies and co-leaders of a powerful international crime syndicate—have reportedly severed ties. The split marks a dramatic turn in their partnership, which dates back to 2011 when they were both students at Panjab University.

Sources revealed that tensions between the two began brewing last year and came to a head after the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence’s younger brother, in California in November 2024. Anmol, wanted in connection with several serious crimes including the murder of ex-Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, was detained for illegal entry into the United States.

The fallout was reportedly triggered by Lawrence’s belief that Brar and another associate, Rohit Godara, failed to support Anmol during his legal battle for bail. Although Anmol was eventually granted bail, he was ordered to wear a GPS tracking device, which further angered Lawrence.

Bishnoi, currently held in Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Jail, has since distanced himself from Brar and is now believed to be working closely with Noni Rana—brother of Haryana gangster Kala Rana. Intelligence sources suggest that Rana’s network has been handling ransom and extortion operations on behalf of Bishnoi in recent months.

This shift in allegiances was further confirmed when Brar and Godara took credit for the May 2025 murder of Canadian businessman Harjit Singh but did not mention Bishnoi. Additionally, law enforcement agencies flagged Rana’s involvement in extortion linked to Bishnoi as a key sign of their new alliance.

The Bishnoi-Brar gang has been linked to several high-profile assassinations, including the killing of rapper Sidhu Moose Wala in 2022 and pro-Khalistan figure Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada in 2023. Their operations have extended across multiple countries, including Canada, the United States, and Azerbaijan.

The end of their partnership is expected to complicate efforts by authorities to dismantle their criminal networks, particularly since Brar remains at large and continues to operate from abroad, while Bishnoi consolidates his influence from prison.

Sources also hinted that ego clashes and territorial disputes may have contributed to the breakup, especially as Kala Jatheri’s gang—aligned with Bishnoi—is believed to have opposed Brar and Godara’s expansion into their domain.
