Housefull 5 Roars Past ₹50 Crore in 2 Days: Akshay Kumar’s Comeback in Full Swing

Bollywood’s favorite chaotic comedy franchise is back—and it’s making serious noise at the box office. Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 has stormed into cinemas and raked in a whopping ₹54 crore in just two days, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

The film, which hit screens on June 6, earned ₹24 crore on Day 1 and followed it up with an impressive ₹30 crore on Day 2, across all languages in India. With a Hindi occupancy of nearly 38% on Saturday and packed shows across multiplexes, it’s clear the audience is turning up for this full-blown entertainer.

Produced on a massive ₹225 crore budget, the film is being screened on 5,000+ screens globally, with some theatres clocking 21 shows a day. It’s not just another sequel—this one’s shaping up to be Akshay’s big bounce-back after a streak of lukewarm releases like Kesari 2 and Khel Khel Mein.

Housefull 5 now ranks as the fourth-biggest opening in Akshay’s career, behind Mission Mangal, Sooryavanshi, and Gold. The film’s performance over the next few days will determine if it can reach the estimated ₹450 crore break-even point.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani (Dostana fame), and produced by Sajid and Warda Nadiadwala, this fifth installment brings together a star-studded ensemble:
Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, and Soundarya Sharma, along with heavy-hitters like Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, and others.

For Akshay Kumar, this could be the hit that reclaims his box office dominance—and fans are here for it.
