“I’m Just a Traveller, Not a Spy”: Yatri Doctor Breaks Silence on Pakistan Allegations

Navankur Chaudhary, better known online as Yatri Doctor, has firmly denied any involvement in espionage following social media chatter linking him to the ongoing case involving fellow travel vlogger Jyoti Malhotra. In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, the doctor-turned-content creator addressed the controversy head-on, calling the allegations against him a “fake narrative” being fuelled by out-of-context clips and speculation.
“I’ve Only Been to Pakistan Once”
Responding to the sudden wave of online scrutiny, Chaudhary clarified that he has visited Pakistan just once, as part of his mission to travel to all 197 countries in the world — a journey he passionately documents on YouTube and Instagram. “Bhai main Pakistan sirf ek baar gaya hoon,” he said, emphasizing that it was a one-time visit, not a pattern.
He further expressed that his love for India runs deep, mentioning that several members of his family have proudly served in the Indian armed forces. “I have always respected and felt proud of my country,” he stated.
On the Jyoti Malhotra Link
Chaudhary also addressed his brief interaction with Jyoti Malhotra, who was recently arrested on espionage charges. He confirmed they met only once when she approached him as a fan. “We just spoke about YouTube. I didn’t know her personally,” he explained.
He made it clear that no investigation has been launched against him by any Indian authority. “If any agency needs anything from me, I am fully ready to cooperate,” he assured.
Responding to Viral Clips
Chaudhary also responded to viral videos circulating online, including one showing him attending an event at the Pakistan High Commission and another where he was accused of misrepresenting a map of India. He urged viewers not to jump to conclusions based on selectively edited clips and called for a fair understanding of context.
With over 6.5 lakh Instagram followers and a strong presence on YouTube, Yatri Doctor has a large base of supporters across the country. Many of them have rallied behind him online, defending his integrity and commitment to global travel.
“I’m a traveller, not a traitor,” he seemed to suggest — hoping to put the rumours to rest and return to doing what he loves: exploring the world, one country at a time.
