Tragedy in Delhi: Teen Girl Found Dead in Japanese Park, Suicide Suspected

A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Delhi’s Rohini area on Saturday morning, as the body of a teenage girl was discovered hanging from a tree in Japanese Park. Police believe the girl, estimated to be between 14 and 16 years old, may have taken her own life.
The girl has not yet been identified, though officers noted that a name tattooed on her hands may provide a clue to her identity. Efforts are underway to trace her family, and “hue and cry” notices have been issued to help locate anyone who may recognize her.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Amit Goel, a passerby alerted authorities around 6:45 am. A police team rushed to the scene and found the girl hanging by a dupatta. Her slippers were placed neatly at the base of the tree, suggesting she may have removed them before the act.
There were no visible external injuries on her body. The area was quickly sealed off, and both the crime team and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) were called in to examine the site. Her body has been sent for post-mortem, and an investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
The incident has left the community shaken, raising concerns about the mental health and safety of vulnerable youth.
