In a shocking turn of events at a wedding in Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli district, a man drove a minibus into a gathering of guests after reportedly being upset over not finding paneer at the feast. Six people were injured and property worth over ₹3 lakh was damaged.

The incident took place during the wedding of Rajnath Yadav’s daughter in Hamidpur village, Mughalsarai Kotwali area. The celebrations were in full swing on Saturday evening when Dharmendra Yadav, a guest at the event, became enraged upon discovering that paneer was missing from the food stalls.

“Dharmendra came, started eating, and asked for paneer. When he didn’t get it, he lost his temper and crashed a tempo traveller into the gathering,” said Rajnath Yadav.

The sudden chaos left several injured, including the groom’s father and the bride’s uncle, both of whom were later admitted to a trauma centre in Varanasi for treatment.

Following the attack, Dharmendra fled the scene with the minibus. The wedding celebrations came to an abrupt halt, with the groom’s family insisting that the marriage would not proceed until a formal complaint was registered.
