Pahalgam Terrorist Attack: Pakistan Super League Broadcast Stopped In India

In the aftermath of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians, live streaming platform Fancode has removed all content related to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) from its website. Fancode had been broadcasting PSL matches in India, including the first 13 matches featuring top members of the Pakistan cricket team. However, following the attack, Fancode stopped airing any PSL content, with users now encountering an ‘Error’ page when trying to access the streams.

The decision to halt the broadcast came on Friday, as public criticism of Fancode’s involvement in streaming the PSL grew on social media.

In response to the attack, India has also taken a stronger stance by revoking all visas issued to Pakistani nationals, including medical visas. Effective from Sunday, April 27, all valid visas for Pakistani nationals will be cancelled. Additionally, Pakistanis currently in India must leave before their visas expire on April 29. Visa services for Pakistani nationals are now suspended, preventing new visa issuances.

The Ministry of External Affairs has strongly advised Indian nationals to avoid traveling to Pakistan and urged those currently in Pakistan to return to India at the earliest. This move follows a series of measures discussed in a Cabinet Committee on Security meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi
