YouTuber Faces Chilling Extortion Threat Over Wife’s Inherited Property, One Arrested

A Delhi-based YouTuber’s life took a terrifying turn when he received multiple threatening calls demanding Rs 13 crore in extortion. The 24-year-old content creator, who was in Bawana’s Sector-1 at the time, reported the shocking incident to the police on April 9.
According to the complaint, the caller — later identified as 25-year-old Vishal alias Katia — warned the YouTuber of grave consequences if he failed to pay up. The threat escalated quickly, with the accused allegedly referencing personal details about the YouTuber’s wife, including her share in an inherited land property valued at several crores.
The caller became increasingly aggressive with each conversation, and by the fifth call, he was openly threatening to kill the YouTuber if the demand wasn’t met.
Acting swiftly, the Delhi Police registered a case at the Bawana Police Station and launched an investigation. Within 24 hours, Vishal was tracked down and arrested near Nirmal Vatika in Bawana. Police confirmed that he had a prior criminal record and recovered the phone used to make the extortion calls from his possession.
The investigation continues as authorities dig deeper into the motive and whether others may have been involved.
