Saif Ali Khan Makes First Public Appearance After Knife Attack, Announces Thrilling Heist Film ‘Jewel Thief’

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan made a strong comeback on Monday, attending a Netflix event just weeks after surviving a terrifying knife attack at his Mumbai home. The actor, who had been recovering from his injuries, looked upbeat as he took the stage to announce his new film, Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins.
Speaking at the event, the 54-year-old expressed his gratitude, saying, “It feels very nice to be standing here in front of you. I’m very excited about this movie. Siddharth and I have been discussing this project for a long time, and I’ve always wanted to do a heist film. This is the perfect opportunity.”
Saif was attacked at his Bandra residence on January 16 during a robbery attempt. He sustained multiple stab wounds and underwent surgery before being discharged four days later. His appearance at the Netflix event, dressed casually in denim with a bandage on his neck, reassured fans of his recovery.
Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins is a high-stakes thriller directed by Robbie Grewal and Kookie Gulati. The film follows Saif’s character, a master jewel thief hired to steal the world’s most elusive diamond, The African Red Sun. However, his perfectly planned heist takes an unexpected turn, leading to chaos, betrayal, and unexpected alliances.
The movie also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor, and Nikita Dutta, with Pathaan director Siddharth Anand producing it under Marflix Pictures. Saif and Anand reunite after 17 years, having previously worked together on Salaam Namaste (2005) and Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007).
Saif has already completed filming, and Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins is set to release exclusively on Netflix.
