Shahid Kapoor’s much-awaited action drama Deva had its theatrical release on January 31, marking the debut of director Rosshan Andrrews in the Hindi film industry. The film, featuring Shahid in the role of a bold cop, earned Rs 5 crore net on its opening day in India, as reported by Sacnilk.

While Hindustan Times noted the potential for a strong character, they felt the story was predictable, with Shahid’s performance being the standout aspect.
Shahid Kapoor’s portrayal of Dev combines shades of his Kabir Singh role but with enough uniqueness to make it his own.
