Priyanka Gandhi Slams Modi and Kejriwal: “Both Are Cowards and Corrupt”

Accuses BJP and AAP Leaders of Blame Games, Neglecting Real Issues

New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during a public meeting in Mustafabad on Friday. She alleged that both leaders are “cowards and corrupt,” blaming each other instead of addressing the real issues that affect people’s lives.

Speaking in the riot-affected constituency, Priyanka Gandhi pointed out that while Modi constantly blames India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Kejriwal shifts the blame onto Modi. “Neither of them takes responsibility for anything,” she said, accusing both the BJP and AAP of indulging in divisive politics.

Blame Games Instead of Real Governance

Priyanka Gandhi criticized both parties for focusing on accusations rather than governance. She highlighted how AAP leaders talk about Modi’s ‘Rajmahal’ while BJP leaders attack Kejriwal’s ‘Sheesh Mahal,’ but neither party addresses core issues like roads, clean water, education, business growth, and employment.

“They are busy pointing fingers at each other. But who is talking about your real concerns? Who truly understands your struggles?” she asked the crowd.

She further emphasized how Kejriwal built his political career by speaking against corruption, yet today, his actions mirror those of Modi. “What is the difference between the two?” she questioned.

No Accountability, Only Excuses

Priyanka Gandhi accused Modi of refusing to take responsibility for his government’s performance over the past decade. “Modi ji talks about Congress rule in the past but never tells us what he has done in the last 10 years. Kejriwal does the same—he blames Modi, while Modi blames Nehru. But who is actually working for the people?” she asked.

Quoting Indira Gandhi, she said, “There are two types of people—those who work quietly and those who make excuses while taking credit for others’ work. Modi and Kejriwal fall in the second category. True leaders take responsibility.”

“A Leader Is Fearless”

According to Priyanka Gandhi, a real leader should unite people, solve their problems, and not manipulate emotions for political gain. “A leader is someone who is fearless, who does not get scared,” she said, citing Rahul Gandhi as an example.

“They [Modi and Kejriwal] are cowards. They will always put themselves first and the people second,” she added.

Congress’ Track Record and Upcoming Elections

Priyanka Gandhi highlighted the achievements of the Congress-led Delhi government under Sheila Dikshit, emphasizing that the party delivers on its promises. She urged voters to support Congress candidate Ali Mehdi, assuring them that the party has successfully implemented its guarantees in states like Telangana and Karnataka.

She also criticized both the BJP and AAP for lacking democratic values and functioning in a highly centralized manner.

As Delhi heads to the polls on February 5, with results to be announced on February 8, Priyanka Gandhi’s speech has set the stage for a fierce political contest in the capital.
