Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been discharged from Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday after a harrowing attack earlier this month. The actor, who suffered multiple stab wounds including an injury to his spine on January 15, was hospitalized for five days but was in good spirits as he returned home to his residence in Bandra, Mumbai.

In the wake of the attack, Saif Ali Khan has decided to hire actor Ronit Roy’s security firm, Ace Security and Protection, for round-the-clock security for himself and his family. Ronit Roy, who owns the security agency, confirmed that his team has already started providing protection to the family, though he refrained from giving specific details about the type of security being offered.

Saif was seen smiling as he left the hospital and headed home in a white shirt and blue jeans. Dozens of photographers surrounded his car, eager to capture the actor’s return. He was seen acknowledging the paparazzi and his supporters with a thumbs-up, flanked by police and security personnel.

The attacker who stabbed Saif has already been arrested by the Mumbai Police. Authorities took him back to Saif’s home to recreate the crime scene on Tuesday.
