Budget Session 2025: Dates Announced for Parliament’s Upcoming Session

The Budget Session of Parliament for 2025 will kick off on January 31 and will conclude in two parts. The first part will run from January 31 to February 13, while the second part will begin on March 10 and end on April 4.
As per the official notification, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the second full budget of the Modi 3.0 government on February 1, 2025, at 11 am in Parliament. This will mark Sitharaman’s eighth consecutive budget presentation.
On January 31, 2025, the Fourth Session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin, with President Draupadi Murmu delivering the President’s Address to both Houses of Parliament at 11 am. Following this, the Lok Sabha will convene to conduct government business half an hour after the President’s Address.
The usual sitting time for the Lok Sabha will be from 11 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm, unless directed otherwise by the Speaker. This session follows extensive consultations with economists and industry experts to prepare for the upcoming budget discussions.
