Punjab Woman Dies in Kullu Hotel After Alleged Drug Overdose, Police Hunt for Two Suspects

A tragic incident unfolded in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, when a 28-year-old woman from Punjab, Praveen Kaur, died under suspicious circumstances on January 12. The woman, also known as Tinu, had checked into a hotel in Kasol with two men on January 11, and was found unconscious the following day. The police suspect her death may be linked to a drug overdose.
The two men, who had accompanied Praveen, fled the scene after leaving her seemingly lifeless at the hotel reception. They escaped in an SUV with a Punjab registration number. One of the men has been identified as Akashdeep Singh, a 25-year-old from Muktsar, Punjab. Singh had provided his identity proof to book the room at Hotel Hangout where the woman’s tragic death occurred.
Hotel staff became suspicious when, around 1 a.m., they noticed the two men carrying an unconscious Praveen, with foam coming from her mouth and nose. After alerting hotel staff, the men hastily abandoned her and fled. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in Jari, but doctors declared her dead upon arrival.
Praveen Kaur, a resident of Bathinda, had been working as a caretaker and babysitter in Chandigarh. Her family, who arrived in Kullu from Bathinda, informed the police that she had been placed through a placement service. The police are now actively pursuing the suspects, with raids being conducted in search of the men involved.
This tragic event has raised many questions, as authorities continue their search for the absconding suspects involved in this heartbreaking case.
