A 14-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Raped in Gurugram by Youth Who Promised Birthday Celebration
In a heart-wrenching incident in Gurugram, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth who invited her to a guest house under the pretext of a birthday party. The incident took place on Sunday night when the girl left her home without informing her parents. She returned the next day and shared her traumatic experience with her family, who then reported the matter to the police.
The victim, a Class 8 student, was accompanied by her ‘friend’ Anshu on his bike, who told her that they were going to celebrate the birthday of another youth, Avinash. However, when Avinash left the guest house, Anshu allegedly raped her. In her complaint, the girl’s mother also mentioned that Avinash had sexually assaulted her daughter on two earlier occasions.
A case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and the victim has been sent for medical examination and counseling. A special police team has been assigned to apprehend the absconding suspects, who are expected to be arrested soon.
