Rahul Gandhi Criticizes Kejriwal and PM Modi Over Inflation, Corruption, and Caste Census in Delhi Polls Campaign

As Delhi gears up for the 2025 elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on both Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Making his debut in the Delhi election campaign, Gandhi emphasized the importance of equitable development and accused the BJP and AAP of deceiving the public.
In a speech at Seelampur, Gandhi urged voters to support Congress, stating that the party would ensure progress similar to its past achievements. He said, “Neither Kejriwal nor the BJP can do what Congress can.” The Congress leader also expressed his commitment to standing by victims of violence, promising justice and support for all affected.
Gandhi sharply criticized Kejriwal for his unfulfilled promises of cleaning up Delhi, eradicating corruption, and transforming the city into a global hub like Paris. He remarked that despite these promises, Delhi now suffers from severe pollution and public health issues, highlighting the failure of Kejriwal’s leadership. “Just like Modi ji makes false promises, Kejriwal also makes empty promises. There’s no difference between the two,” Gandhi stated.
Addressing the issue of caste reservations, Gandhi targeted both Kejriwal and Modi for their silence on the matter. He called for a caste census and an increase in the reservation cap if Congress comes to power, emphasizing the need for equality and representation for all marginalized communities, including Dalits, tribals, and minorities.
“They don’t want backward classes, Dalits, tribals, and minorities to have their rightful share in the country,” said Gandhi, accusing both Kejriwal and Modi of obstructing the progress of these communities. He promised that once Congress returns to power, it would push for the caste census bill and increase reservations beyond the 50% cap.
This intense campaign rally marks a pivotal moment as Congress sets its sights on the Delhi elections, aiming to secure a better future for all, particularly for the underrepresented communities.
