Bihar MP Pappu Yadav’s Ex-Aide Arrested for Staging Threat as Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Member

In a surprising twist, Bihar police arrested Ram Babu Yadav, a former associate of Pappu Yadav, for allegedly posing as a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to threaten the Lok Sabha MP. The arrest followed an investigation into a video call where the accused demanded an apology from Pappu Yadav on behalf of the jailed gangster, claiming it was in response to a post by the MP vowing to dismantle Bishnoi’s criminal network.

Purnea Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K Sharma revealed that the accused was previously linked to the Jan Adhikar Party (JAP), which Pappu Yadav had merged with the Congress ahead of the elections. The police traced Ram Babu Yadav’s location and took him into custody, determining that he had no actual connections to the Bishnoi gang.

During questioning, the accused confessed that he was instructed by individuals allegedly associated with the MP to send the threatening video. He claimed he received ₹2,000 for his actions and was promised ₹2 lakh and a political position for sending another pre-recorded video. However, the police have yet to find concrete evidence to substantiate these claims, and investigations are ongoing.

The incident stems from heightened tensions after Pappu Yadav publicly declared his intent to eliminate the Lawrence Bishnoi gang following the assassination of former lawmaker Baba Siddique in Mumbai. Yadav had vowed on social media to dismantle the gang’s network within 24 hours.

This development adds a new layer of complexity to the ongoing security concerns surrounding the MP, as authorities delve deeper into the motives behind the staged threat.
