Two Bishnoi Gang Members Arrested in Punjab After Shootout with Police

The Punjab Police arrested two associates of the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang in Jalandhar following a dramatic chase and shootout, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
The suspects, who opened fire at the police during the chase, were apprehended after officers retaliated. Authorities recovered three firearms, multiple cartridges, and other evidence linking the duo to serious crimes, including extortion, murder, and violations of the Arms and Narcotics Acts.
The Bishnoi gang, known for its extensive criminal network, has been implicated in high-profile cases, including the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, an attack on actor Salman Khan’s house, and the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique.
Police investigations are ongoing to uncover more details about the gang’s operations and associates. The arrest comes shortly after a blast at a Chandigarh club, for which Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, a close associate of Bishnoi, claimed responsibility.
With Lawrence Bishnoi in jail, other gang leaders, including his brother Anmol, have been managing the syndicate, keeping the gang’s network active. The Punjab Police continues to crack down on the group’s activities to curb their influence in the region.
