Lawyer from Raipur Arrested for Allegedly Issuing Death Threat to Shah Rukh Khan and Extortion Attempt

In a dramatic turn of events, a lawyer based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, has been apprehended by Mumbai police for allegedly threatening Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan and attempting to extort Rs 50 lakh. The arrest took place on Tuesday, following a series of investigations.

The incident came to light when a death threat was reportedly made to a Mumbai police station on November 7, using a phone number traced back to the lawyer, identified as Faizan Khan. In response, a team of Mumbai police officers traveled to Raipur to pursue the case. They summoned Faizan Khan for questioning, after which he was taken into custody.

Following his arrest, the lawyer was presented before a Raipur court, which granted a three-day transit remand. This allows the Mumbai police to transfer Khan to Mumbai for further investigation and interrogation.

This case has garnered significant attention, given Shah Rukh Khan’s recent high-profile projects and public appearances. The police are now probing the motive behind the threat and are looking into whether others were involved in the extortion attempt.

Authorities are tightening security around the actor as the investigation unfolds, ensuring his safety amidst these alarming developments.
