4 African Nationals Deported From Hyderabad for Visa Overstay, Suspected Drug Peddling

Hyderabad Police have arrested and deported four African nationals — two from Nigeria, one from Tanzania, and one from Sudan — for overstaying their visas and allegedly engaging in drug peddling in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

According to officials, the individuals had originally entered India on tourist, medical, or student visas but remained in the country even after their visas and passports expired.

The first to be identified was Tanzanian national Mwajuma Almasi Masisila, who had been living in India for six years on an expired tourist visa. Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner of Police Task Force YVS Sudheendra noted that her financial explanations and lifestyle raised suspicions, especially given her ability to afford rent of ₹25,000 per month.

Further investigation revealed her links with three other foreign nationals: Chinaza Nnanna Vivian (a 38-year-old Nigerian using a Sierra Leone passport), Maxwell Anthony Izuchukwu (29, from Nigeria on a medical visa), and Ahmed Hamid (27, a Sudanese national on a student visa).

While no drugs were physically recovered during the search, all four are believed to have been involved in drug distribution operations in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing has initiated the deportation and blacklisting process, which will prevent them from re-entering India. Authorities have also issued a public advisory about the rising trend of foreign nationals overstaying visas and participating in illegal activities, particularly narcotics distribution.
